What We Do

Organizational Objectives SWESC’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centre defines vocational education as a form of education obtainable at the technical centre that is equivalent to senior secondary education, but designed to prepare individuals to acquire practical skills, basic scientific knowledge, and the attitude required of craftsmen and technicians at sub-professional level. Guided by this definition, SWESC pursues five core objectives:

  • Training Manpower — Provide trained manpower in applied science, technology, and commerce, particularly at sub-professional grades.
  • Provision of Technical Knowledge and Vocational Skills — Equip learners with the technical knowledge and vocational skills needed for agricultural, industrial, commercial, and economic development.
  • Professional Studies — provide an introduction to professional studies in engineering and other technologies.
  • Intelligent Understanding — Enable young men and women to develop an informed understanding of the increasing complexity of technology.
  • Skilled Personnel — Deliver training that produces artisans, technicians, and other skilled personnel who are enterprising and self-reliant.
